Women in Horror Month

Welcome to February! The month of sweethearts, candy, and killers?

If you read my last post, you’ll know that I’m far more likely to write love gone wrong than love gone right. If your tastes are a little more serial killer than sweethearts, then this post is for you!

February is Women in Horror month! I am blessed to know some amazing female horror writers and I am so thrilled to be able to celebrate them this month. I found some interesting links to events that highlight some great authors and I wanted to share them.

I have a great deal of admiration for people who write horror. Although I have dabbled in it quite often, I don’t consider myself a horror writer. I was just working on a Midwest Gothic horror story last night and nearly had to stop before I gave myself nightmares!

For more information, check out this website dedicated to Women in Horror Month.

First, lets start with some people I am very fond of. The folks over at Eerie River Publishing are shedding some spotlights on a few of my favorite female horror writers!

Another publisher I’ve worked with before is Insignia Stories. They focus on anthologies of Asian speculative fiction. They’ve also got a great lineup for Women in Horror Month.

There are also a couple of links that I found through the Facebook page of the Horror Writer’s Association.
